Further Nomad OMCG members charged with consorting – Strike Force Raptor
Investigators from the Gangs Squad’s Strike Force Raptor have charged a senior member of the Nomads outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) with consorting.
The charges follow a clubhouse raid at Wetherill Park on Friday 30 January 2015, where police - investigating criminal activity by the gang - arrested and charged 13 Nomads members under anti-consorting legislation.
Those charged during the raid are all due to appear in court later this month, with the exception of one man, who is expected to face court in April.
Just after 11am today (Thursday 12 March 2015), investigators attended a government facility in Silverwater and spoke with a 21-year-old man.
The man, who is a senior member of the Nomads Parramatta Chapter, was charged with habitually consort with convicted offenders after warning.
The man will appear before Parramatta Local Court on Thursday 26 March 2015.
Strike Force Raptor was established by State Crime Command’s Gangs Squad in 2009. It is a proactive and high-impact operation targeting outlaw motorcycle gangs and any associated criminal enterprises.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page: https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au/ Information you provide will be treated in the strictest of confidence.
