Dear Jennifer
Three government-owned properties at Millers Point were successfully sold at auction on Monday, 1 June 2015 for a total of $5.4 million. This brings total sales to date to $43.1 million. The auction was undertaken by Raine & Horne Double Bay on behalf of the NSW Government and generated a strong level of interest.

In addition, GPNSW is pleased to advise the next three government-owned properties to be marketed are 18 Trinity Avenue, 34 Kent Street and 54A&B Kent Street, Millers Point.

Sydney Cove Property will be managing the sale of 34 Kent Street, Millers Point.

McGrath Real Estate will be managing the sales of 18 Trinity Avenue and 54A&B Kent Street, Millers Point.

Now we have to watch where does this money end up.  I agree the houses to be sold and relocation out of Sydney city is a good idea as I have written about the decentralising of the services from the city will help those in need more.

We have found the people have been moved to Ultimo which is good, yet there are units within the housing commission that are empty I have been told or in need of repair that could help with the housing situation with the influx of homeless in the city and growing is  a problem which the food van's visiting the heart of the city, we have The Station in Wynard, Matthew Talbot Hostel and the building behind Oxford Street.  Yes these are in the heart of the homeless issue.  Moving the facilities and what happens?  More tents in Central Station Park have come.
