Police to investigate kava shipments

Police investigations into the recent cocaine find in Nadi are now focusing on the logistics of the kava shipment.

Spokesperson Ana Naisoro said they have sent the substance to the Korinivia Research Station for verification.

The Fiji Revenue Customs Authority confirmed the confiscated kava shipment tested positive for cocaine.

The illicit drugs were discovered at the Nadi International Airport on Tuesday afternoon.

Some may have read a while ago that I reported the resort had been sold on from the administrators (ANZ) to Albert Bertini / an Albert Bertini owned company.

People recently have been disgruntled to find out the resort is closing for a few months under the new owners, to freshen up the resort.

However it has been reported just yesterday that Albert Bertini's (australian owned) company has been put into receivership.

This potentially could put Vatulele into an interesting position.

Just an advisory to people who are booking/have booked there, as this could lead to an uncertain future about the resort.

Ill list the reports to read, it is interesting that the Coconut is coming from countries near to Australia as we combat the epidemic of the drugs and how they are bringing them into the country.

I noticed Kyle Sandilands was reporting the news within the Coconut Oil from Fiji.

IT was on a private Fijian island that Kyle Sandilands struck upon what has become the latest product for his biggest business venture to date.

The locals on Vatulele — owned by controversial former Sydney property developer Albert Bertini — were rubbing coconut oil on their skin. His model girlfriend Imogen Anthony followed their lead.
