Greendale Road Bringelly Police Search warrant

Detectives from the Property Crime Squad have seized more than 200 items from a property in Sydney’s west as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged car re-birthing.
Earlier this year, police from the Property Crime Squad’s Motor Unit formed Strike Force Stromeferry to investigate an alleged car re-birthing syndicate operating in western Sydney.
On Friday (4 July 2014), Strike Force Stromeferry detectives were joined by Roads and Maritime Services (RMS), NSW Fair Trading, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Liverpool City Council in executing a search warrant at a property on Greendale Road, Bringelly.
During the warrant, police seized four intact vehicles (believed to have been re-birthed), two dismantled vehicles and 10 engines which appeared to have had their identification numbers removed. Numerous other vehicle parts were also seized by police for forensic examination.
The property was deemed to be operating as an unlicensed auto dismantler, dealer and repairer and the property’s owners are expected to be issued with a number of infringements in the coming weeks.
The investigation by Strike Force Stromeferry continues.
Police are urging anyone with information about car re-birthing to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page: https://www1.police.nsw.gov.au/. Information you provide will be treated in the strictest of confidence. We remind people they should not report crime information via our Facebook and Twitter pages.
