Hi Guys. Well today I can confirm a mini victory for Terry. After a phone call today with a gentleman, I can now confirm how Terry made it to Avoca that day. After all of the, "Yeah, possibly that could have happened" or "Yeah, he might have done it" - well I can now reveal these facts. However, before I do this, i will not be giving the name of this 'low life, dirt bag, poor excuse for a human being', instead I will using the alias of this dirt bag. For those of you in and around the Maryborough/Avoca area you will know who it is...
The week before my brother went to Avoca, 'UNC' was telling his work mates that he would be taking a boy out to Avoca after his junior game of football. "UNC' was asking if someone could cover for him on that Saturday because he might not get back in time for the start of his shift that afternoon. 'UNC' never made it back to work that afternoon and another person had to be called in to cover his shift. 'UNC' went into hiding for the next 3 days and when he finally made it back to work he asked his boss to 'cover for him for the last couple of days' which his boss replied, "No Bloody Way." 'UNC' was seen that Saturday afternoon that Terry went missing at the football at Lexton (some 15 minutes down the road from the township of Avoca). The last people to see Terry alive that day asked the question to him, "Terry, how are you getting home?" Terry replied, "My 'UNC' is picking me up." 'UNC' had organised to pick Terry up at 4:30 pm but, as I have stated before, 15 minutes cost Terry his life...Terry did not get to the spot where he was to be picked up until 4:45 pm and 'UNC' had been and gone...
To you 'UNC', I say this YOU ARE A LOW LIFE PIECE OF SCUM. A THING OF EVIL. A PREDATOR OF CHILDREN. YOU F...... COWARD AND I HOPE YOU ARE ROTTING IN HELL WHERE YOU BELONG.
I would just like to make it clear that this is not the person/s responsible for Terry's murder but the person who took Terry to Avoca and then left him on his own: alone, scared, frightened, in the cold, with no where to go....by himself and vulnerable - and at that time another predator/s pulls up...
He was too much of a coward even to come forward and tell the police that he did take Terry out but didn't pick him up...
Why am I doing this...3 days after my brother went missing my lovely mother asked the question to 2 Senior Constables "You need to go and speak to ..'UNC' about my son."

Yes, he was the Mayor's son! 'UNC' was eventually extradited back from Adelaide in 1976 for the sexual assault of other boys within the township and did jail time in Geelong prison.
