Police investigate suspicious fire - Connells Point

Police are appealing for public assistance after two vehicles were found alight in Connells Point this morning.
About 1.30am (Saturday 12 December 2015), emergency services were called to Queens Road, following reports of two cars on fire.
Fire & Rescue NSW officers attended to the fires; however both vehicles – a Lexus sedan and a white van – were completely destroyed.
No one was in the vehicles at the time of the incident; however a few nearby homes were evacuated.
Police have received no reports of injury.
Officers attached to St George Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
Initial inquiries suggest the fire was deliberately lit.
As investigations into the circumstances leading up to the incident continue, police are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with information, to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers.
