Police alleged misconduct

Two officers charged - Southern Region

Two police officers will appear in court following investigations into alleged misconduct.
The alleged offences took place on Tuesday 5 November 2013 while they were on duty.
Officers from the Professional Standards Command began an investigation and issued court attendance notices to the officers, both male senior constables, yesterday (Thursday 1 May 2014).
Both officers were charged with neglect of duty while one was also charged with misconduct in public office (common law).
The men, attached to the Southern Region, will appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Tuesday 17 June 2014.
